The legalization of medicinal and recreational cannabis touches many aspects of life for individuals, institutions, communities and cultures. Rowan University has committed to exploring and highlighting the impact and interactions of cannabis on a variety of levels that include the social arenas of family, economy, religion, medicine and science; as well as differential impacts by ethnicity/race, gender, age, and socio-economic status.

The cannabis industry has opened the doors for major investing, countless hours of research, and has created thousands of employment opportunities. It has initiated a great demand for qualified personnel to bring consistency to research and policies within institutions and workplace settings.
