Biography

Dr. Rodriguez has more than 15 years of experience as a higher education administrator. She is a dedicated higher education professional who is passionate about areas such as innovation, program development, external partnerships, student success, retention, enrollment management, and serving historically underrepresented student populations.

Dr. Rodriguez has served in various roles at Rowan University, including an Academic Advisor and Associate Director of University Advising Services. She was also an Assistant Dean at University Delaware in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is currently serving as Director, Academics and Outreach, in the Division of Rowan Global Learning and Partnerships. In this role, Dr. Rodriguez leads efforts and innovations related to the oversight, development, and inception of undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate programs delivered at Rowan University’s main campus in Glassboro, online, and other off-site locations, including the University’s partner colleges, Rowan College of Burlington County (RCBC) and Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ). She is responsible for managing and facilitating curriculum development for programs in the pipeline that meet labor market demand, collaborating with academic units to strategically integrate platforms that deliver “stackable” credentials into for-credit programs, providing feedback on market research efforts that drive program development, managing the launch of academic programs, monitoring and supporting curriculum design and approval of new programs, and participating in university-wide efforts to deliver new programs that meet regional and national labor market need.

Dr. Rodriguez earned her B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University-Camden, and both her M.A. in Higher Education Administration and Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) from Rowan University. As a scholar practitioner, her research interests include access to education for historically underserved student populations, community colleges, transfer students, qualitative research, higher education policy, and organizational leadership.

When not working, teaching, conducting research, or writing, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, Maia and Phoebe. Her hobbies include cooking, listening to music, birdwatching, and reading mystery novels.
