Mission Statement
The School of Professional Studies (SPS) at Rowan University offers multiple opportunities for academic program completion for a variety of audiences. Through high quality, accessible academic experiences, experiential learning credit, and specialized programs, SPS delivers progams that meet the needs of today's labor market and growing industries. SPS focuses on building relationships with external partners through our dynamic course offerings, delivering programs that enrich the lives of our students, and providing economic opportunites in our region and beyond.

Having recently graduated from Rowan University’s School of Professional Studies, Nathan Beam reflects on a journey of growth, determination, and opportunity. Initially unsure about higher education, he started at community college before transferring to Rowan, where he discovered his passion for Healthcare Management. Drawn to the field’s stability and impact, Nathan paired his major with a Marketing minor, aiming to blend both disciplines in his future career.
During his time at Rowan, Nathan excelled academically, earning a spot on the Dean’s List, an academic award in Healthcare Management, and induction into honor societies Tri-Alpha and SCLA. His internship at 4WALLS LLC allowed him to gain real-world experience, even designing websites and an app for the company.
Nathan credits Rowan’s School of Professional Studies for providing hands-on learning from industry professionals. As he steps into the next chapter, he’s ready to make a lasting impact in healthcare administration and marketing.
