Rowan's School of Professional Studies facilitates convenient and cost-effective transfer pathways into Rowan University's degree programs via community college articulation agreements.
Articulation agreements are contracts that outline the transfer of academic credits from one educational institution to another. Following an academic pathway prescribed in an articulation agreement takes the guesswork out of the transfer and credit applicability process, offering transfer students a seamless transition to Rowan (all while saving them time and money!).

2+2 Partnerships
Traditional transfer articulations are often referred to as “2+2s” because a student following the transfer pathway will spend two years at their community college institution, receive an associate degree, and then transfer to Rowan to complete their bachelor’s degree in two additional years.

3+1 Partnerships
A “3+1” is a special type of transfer agreement that offers community college transfer students flexibility and cost-savings by allowing them to complete the first 3 years of their bachelor’s degree at their starting institution before finishing at Rowan university (this final year at Rowan is often called the “+1 year”).
Currently, Rowan University has established 3+1 partnerships with Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) and Rowan College of Burlington County (RCBC).
